Bakery, Confectionary and Dairy Product Development Training underway at RDTC

The Rural Development Training Centre (RDTC) is currently conducting a Bakery, Confectionary and Dairy Product Development Training from 12th August to 11th September 2025. A total of 32 participants from various Dzongkhags across the country are taking part in this month-long training program.

The training aims to equip participants with essential skills and knowledge in producing high-quality bakery, confectionary, and dairy products with a focus on promoting rural entrepreneurship and self-reliance. In the Bakery and Confectionary training, participants are learning to prepare a wide range of baked goods, including cakes, cookies, muffins, breads, doughnuts, panna cotta, burger buns and many other bakery delights.

In the Dairy Product Development Training, the program will be enriched by the presence of two expert trainers from Thailand, who will share their international knowledge and hands-on experience in dairy product development. The training will cover the following topics:

  1. Overview of dairy products, processing techniques, and innovative technologies
  2. Production of liquid milk products, butter, and cream
  3. Cheese and yoghurt production
  4. Ice cream and sorbet preparation
