Food Product Development Training underway at RDTC
The Rural Development Training Centre (RDTC) is currently conducting a Food Product Development Training from 16th September to 15th October 2025. A total of 23 participants from various Dzongkhags across the country are taking part in this month-long training program.
The institute warmly welcomed the new batch of trainees, encouraging them to embrace creativity and entrepreneurial thinking in the field of food product development. With a vision to nurture future leaders in food industry, this month-long training is designed to build practical skills, inspire innovation and promote self-employment. The training will cover a diverse range of topics including:
- Preparation of Preserves: Jam, Jellies, Pickle and Candy
- Bakery and confectionery: Cake, Doughnut, Churro bites and Cookies
- Processed foods: Chips
- Indian sweets: Rasgulla and Gulab Jamun
- Spreadable food: Peanut butter
- Product Innovation: Trainees will also be encouraged to explore and develop their own unique food products.
